I have always felt better after acupuncture, but I have not had on lower back, still shouldn't cause problems. Were you in pain before acupuncture - you are still in pain or the pain is worse today?

Thanks for your reply chapter. I was in pain yesterday before I had the acupuncture but today, its different pain (if that makes sense). Only one of the needles hurt when it was in my back and I yelled out when he tried to turn it so he stopped and said 'well at least I know we're in the right place' so I'm not sure if that was bad or good. Still very painful when I walk but I think its a little better than it was this morning. xxxxxxxxxxx

I have lower back pain too and have tried this method also it will be painful at first but it does ware off I think u need to have a good lot of this kind of treatment to feel the benefits x

Hi there. I have acupuncture regularly from my GP. I find that if I have a session in the morning I feel very tender and tired that afternoon but it usually clears the following day. Then I have two or three days of benefit. It doesn't get rid of the pain completely but it does take the edge off enough for me to feel noticeably more comfortable. Hope it works out for you.

I have acupuncture It has helped with the back pain and the shin bone pain but not on my hips. I get immediate relief for my shins and it does takes the ache away from my knee but not the pain but on the whole it makes it all a lot more bearable. When I first went I found that the first couple of days after where awful as it seemed to flare everything up but after a couple of sessions that stopped happening and now I don't have those problems. The reason it has no effect on my hips is apparently because I had steroid injections into them last year and this then blocks the effects of acupuncture for up to 18 months (wish I had known then I would't have had them).

Stick with it you will benefit as it not only treats pain but the body as a whole.
