I have pain in my legs, shins are tender to touch... - LUPUS UK
I have pain in my legs, shins are tender to touch and the calf muscles are painful. Walking is so difficult as my legs feel so weak.
Yes I do suffer from the pain you describe, and nearly always it has been down to Vitamin D deficiency, which is known to cause muscle/joint/bone pain. Bear in mind also that inflammatory responses are one of the main Lupus symptoms. Some medications also produce this type of pain and problem. If this is a new problem to you, please do see your GP, Vitamin D deficiency can easily be ruled out via blood test, and if you are deficient, supplements very soon address the deficiency.
If you have been diagnosed with Hughes Syndrome (APS), please see your GP immediately, I mention this, as calf pain can be indicative of a blood clot.
Good luck.
have you tried coq10 if under the age of 40 or ubiquinol for above 40 years these are very ood also vitamin d and calcium could be ones to check on .
articles.mercola.com/sites/... i have also found intermittent fasting helps sort out lots of things as it has worked for myself and friends that i have told about it doesnt cost anything ,doesnt cause side effects and after 2 months you see a definite change
I get pain in my lower legs, never used to have this problem, it seems to have got worse over the last two years. It is worse when my legs get cold when the rest of my body feel warm. There seems to be a band about 1ft deep round my lower leg and it goes red. I did ask my doctor about it, he said "Oh it is part of your Lupus" and gave me no advice about what to do, which is 'normal' for us Lupies it seems!
I too have these symptoms but I have been told that's because of my Fibromyalgia and I was told that that's in my head, so I am causing all the pain that I have. How the hell do you do that.
I have pain in my legs and it's painful to walk and stand. I have lupus,I have good days and bad days with medication.
i ve very painful feet which makes it difficult to stand atimes and avoid walking alot because i end up with a very painful feet.
I just found this list... I can walk without pain, but a light touch on my lower legs (knees down) really hurts. I do have fibromyalgia, and I also sometimes get some slightly swollen feet/ankles. Is it fibromyalgia or my autoimmune system?
