Hi everyone. My heels are sore. Can any one recommend some sort of cream to put on them. I have tried cushioned insoles in my shoes , that didn't work. I wonder if the gel type are any good. I can't get in the bath anymore as I would love a bath

I use eucerin 10% urea for dry skin, you can get it in Boots or the supermarkets' pharmacies. It feels greasy but it doesn't stain, it is very good for dry skin generally. But sometimes the heels hurt because of lupus, this cream won't help that.

The gel inserts are brilliant!...got mine from tk maxx.....used them for two years and without them I don't think I would have managed to walk the short distances I did...mine are a wedge type with a blue bit in the middle...14.99 but worth it...maybe try ebay?

I also had trouble with baths...does the warm water make your flesh feel like it's burning?

Just had a look and found these...

ebay.co.uk/itm/SOFT-GEL-HEE...

ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-density...

ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-density...

They are called Heel cups shock absorbers etc...I find the thicker the better not the sculpted ones as they're too thin...they help plantar fasculitis (painful heels) etc....they also raise the heels which takes the pressure off....You can get Spur spot ones which correct your posture but I found sometimes they send you off balance!

Wear good shoes and put your feet up when you can but do some foot exercises when you get out of bed...gently rotate your ankles etc. also wear raised slippers in doors. Ibuprofen gels will get inflammation down/ice packs...

Good luck!!

Thanks smf and purpletop. Off to ebay for a look. Presently soaking feet in radox salts. Oh what bliss. As for the bath, I haven't the strength to lift myself out

Oh I hear you....I haven't had a bath(have showers!) in ages....it sort of spoils the relaxation from bath if you have to spend 20 minutes trying to haul yourself out!!

Enjoy the radox!
