Tonight is our lupus awareness evening

Excited and hopeful that we are going to raise lots of money for lupus UK and awareness. lol, it actually happened last night and was great. The couple who organised it on behalf of Nat did her proud. Fabulous live music, food, DJ, kareoke, atmosphere and venue - the children had their own separate room for drawing and colouring etc. Laptops for raffle and auction! Can't praise or thank you guys enough. Nat even gave a little speech about lupus and read a very apt poem - well done you! Only problem, and there's always one isn't there - we had to leave just as the dancing started , lol. Let us know how much money you raised in total Nat when you can. Thanks again sweetheart and to all involved. Was also great to meet you :-):-):-)

Hi Julie, yes sorry wrote on yesterday didn't realise it wouldn't go on till today. Thank you so much for coming. Was really lovely to meet you and your lovely family. The whole night was a great success. All the people that came along was so supportive I will let you know the total amount tomorrow. The couple who arranged it all are gonna let me know. It was so great talking to you and Lydia. Could have talked all night. Everyone at the event who had never heard of lupus or didn't know the symptoms were so overwhelmed with what lupus is. They all took away some information and are gonna share the information. So I am pleased and that is what we set out to do. Next event will be bigger and even better. Think my talk could have been better. I thought it would be easier, but on the night got very overwhelmed. I found it so emotional and tried so hard to hold back the tears. But thanks again to you and Lydia for coming, really helps to meet and put faces to names. Talk soon xxxx
