Not sure but thought CPK readings that high were more an indicator of MD than SLE Arrows ... have you been diagnosed with lupus?

ESR is taken to be a measure of general inflammation, CPK is usually more specific to muscular problems, -though it is produced by the brain and other organs. If you are on a statin then this may be one cause. If so try Co enzyme Q10, this has been shown to ease cramps and sorness.

CPK ( or CK) can be taken as a pointer to heart problems, but a more specific test is required if you have a high CPK base level.

My base level CPK is taken to be 315, and my last level was 385, when I was on Atorvastatin it went up into the 600s. What it would be if I were more active I dread to think.

I have started a new statin ( Resuver) yesterday and am nervous about the side effects which were pretty horrid the last time.
