can people with sle lupus use sun beds ? - LUPUS UK
can people with sle lupus use sun beds ?
That would be a resounding NO from me. Sun sensitivity is a big factor in lupus - and while you may not be all that sensitive initially - things can get rapidly worse if you spend time under UV light.
Definitely not!!! Ditto what Maggie said.
No Uv/Flourescent/low energy bulbs for us lupies. I use tanning mousse when desperate. If its for a special occasion spray tan probably best x
No No No even if you did not have Lupus it would still be NO.
No. I have excema, in addition to SLE, for which a bit of sunshine is recommended in order to help it heal. However, SLE has other ideas. It's like my body is fighting with itself!
Definetly a no no, im the same i have psoriasis which is helped by syn an discod lups i agree its like my body is having a little battle against me lol. 50 factor all thw way xx
That's a no. I don't even understand why healthy people use sunbeds!
Nooooooooooooooo!
i have been sun sensitive for yrs before diagnosis. as a teenager i was a goth, luckily for me i never really grew out of it so i can get away with the pale skin look. try it all you need is a wardrobe of black and purple and black eyeliner
No.
If you have lupus you need to avoid direct sunlight.
This is one thing about lupus which is not in dispute by any of the experts.
Even natural sunlight is not a good idea.
If you are regularly avoiding sunlight as a lot of us do, it may be necessary to get vitamin D levels checked.
