Hubby had a fall.

Good evening,

Brian had a fall indoors today and I have been told that I should report it to the doctor as falls can aggravate the cancer.

Does anyone know whether there is any truth in this.

Your help and advice is much appreciated.

Hope you are all enjoying our summer (at last)

Best wishes

Sandra

Hi Sandra

I've heard this before too. I'm not sure if it's correct or not, but it's probably wise to let the doctors know.

Don't talk about summer - it hasn't quite reached the middle of Scotland yet!!

Best wishes, Bill

Thank you Bill, I'll contact the Lung Cancer Nurse tomorrow.

Sorry you're not having our lovely weather up there. My grandson went up to stay with his Grannie in Barrhead, Glasgow on Monday; he'll be upset if it's not so nice up there.

Best wishes

Sandra

Hi Sandra,

I don't think falls in general aggravate cancer but your hubby has bone mets therefore the bones are more likely to be weak and can break easily. Sometimes also the chemo can cause oseoporosis which can also make bones more likely to break.

there fore its probably not a bad think to get it checked out.

Hope that helps

Thank you Lyn. We checked it out with the LCN and he is ok, no problems. I think his pride was hurt more than he was.
