Hi
Does anyone have the HER 2 mutation and if so other than the standard treatment for NSCLC have you been offered anything that targets the HER2 mutation?
thanks

Hello anne1
I am sorry to hear of your lung cancer diagnosis, treatment guidelines for lung cancer can be found on the NICE website. nice.org.uk/guidance/ng122 This covers pathways for different types of lung cancer.
Unfortunately, NICE has not yet approved trastuzumab deruxtecan (Enhertu) for treating HER2-mutated advanced non-small-cell lung cancer in adults after platinum-based chemotherapy. It will still be worth speaking to your oncologist about other ways to access this drug they may be aware of possibly any clinical trials that are recruiting.
I hope you hear from others in the forum who have been in the same position. If you would like to discuss anything or have a chat you can call the ask the nurse helpline on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600, or you can email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org
Kind regards

Anne1, I am not familiar with Her 2 mutation in lung cancer. I have limited SCLC and I would really like to know what Her 2 is. Is this something all lung cancers can have, this mutation? Hugs 🤗 and prayers 🙏, Alicia
