Hi, I'm new on the forum and I have recently been diagnosed with lung cancer, NSLC, stage 4.

I was given the above treatment for my cancer.

I started my treatment in March and I have had a couple of setbacks ie skin rash then mouth ulcers and mouth thrush. I would like hear from other people who have had the same treatment who would like to share their symptoms and experience with me, please.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Dear PinkOrange

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear you have lung cancer. I hope your side effects from the treatment are more manageable now and that you hear from others in the forum on their experience.

Everyone, as you know, reacts and responds differently to treatment, and most side effects are managed well. Treatment can be paused sometimes to allow the body to rest and recover.

It can feel quite isolating having cancer and we have online support groups through zoom, you can view and register for these through this link: roycastle.org/help-and-supp... you can also email our support coordinator ellen.knapp@roycastle.org

We have an information booklet on targeted therapies which you may find useful: roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...

If you would like to discuss anything you can contact our ask the nurse helpline on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600, alternatively you can email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org

Kind regards

Dear PinkOrange

Sorry I have only just seen your post. I am guessing from your treatment you are EGFR+. There is a very good patient driven charity egfrpositive.org.uk I am a member of their Facebook group where there is lots of advice on managing these common side effects and also lots of support and information. Good luck with your treatment. X
