Hi Rusty821

I hope you hear from others in the forum about their experience of this.

Meanwhile, this link is to our travel booklet that you may find useful, which also contains a list of insurance providers: roycastle.org/app/uploads/2...

Hope you have a great holiday.

Kind regards

Hi Rusty, I’m currently on a carribean cruise and on Tagrisso targeted therapy; there are many folks here with scooters or wheelchairs so you can avoid the steps and the shore excursions can be taken that will not need much exertion if walking is too intense. I am having no repercussions from nsclc this trip and have been on Tagrisso since 3/2021. Cruising is the way to go! Much entertainment, excellent dining and FUN! Just make sure to bring your drugs with you!

I have liked Royal Carribean , so much so, that I have signed up for another Royal cruise for December. The cruise director here is ‘tornado Tonya’ a Brit and many are from UK. They are very accommodating and don’t sign up for the expensive drink package; you can bring on 2 bottles of your own wine and they will bring glasses and ice bucket to your cabin; also robes and room service is free.

I don’t know about the insurance. I don’t take anything extra except my regular medical insurance, but have never needed to use it.

Hi there thank you! There is soo much confusing information regarding travel insurance, especially for cruising. So glad you are having a fab time, I will keep looking at options. Had to cancel cruise next month as only just had lobectomy and it’s too soon. Next year we were going from Hawaii to Vancouver but struggling to get insurance at less than the cost of the cruise, enjoy🛳️
