Hi red hope you are ok im on the same steroids but now I've been reduced to 2 a day I done it in stages like you but found I could manage better on 2 and stayed there the only downfall to these is putting on weight especially in the face. Side effects are normal but soon wear off just take it easy when you get up and sit a couple of minutes before you move. Get your blood pressure done to be on the safe side hope this helps take care xxx
Hi I phoned my cancer nurse yes it side effect she say more they reduced should get better thankyou for your helpAnd support as I’m very scared about everything xx
Hi red don't be scared if you are never sure of something ring your nurse oncologist or even talk on here. Side effects with steroids can all be different your doctor will eventually reduce your dose I'm like I said down to 2 a day from eight and gradually loosing the weight of my face good luck we are always here if you need a chat x
Side effects are normal for steroids, however there are symptoms to be aware of that you need to seek medical attention/ inform the doctors immediately
blurred vision, dizziness or fainting, a fast, irregular, or pounding heartbeat, increased thirst or urination, irritability, or unusual tiredness or weakness.
The best advice is to discuss with your pharmacist or doctor.
Kind regards
