I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic Adenocarcinoma of my left lung In summer 2020.which was treated with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, got a good response to treatment however immunotherapy has been stopped due to combination of mild renal impairment, diarrhoea, skin toxicity and thyroid immune mediated toxicity.i am on palliative care and try to take each day as it comes, good and bad days but you have to keep positive and make the most of the time you have left.Have found reading other people’s problems and how they cope with things very helpful.

Bless you - I too had to stop taking immunotherapy due to colitus and was put on steroids - I was on a mission on those - can’t your oncologist give you something to make your days better? Xx

Sounds like you have a positive approach to your situation which will no doubt help you live with less anxiety - I found reading books helped me when diagnosed (there was far less online activity/support back in 2011) and found 'cancer is a word not a sentence' by Dr Rob Buckman and 'anti-cancer, a new way of life' by Dr Servan Schreiber really interesting with some practical aspects to living in a 'new normal' way before that phrase was picked up for covid pandemic! Hope you have some enjoyable pastimes to help you too.... good luck....

Hey Sydney1949. I am too in a similar situation. I have stage 4 lung cancer with brain Mets. Started back in May 2018. My last scans showed more tumors on my brain and throughout my body. The oncologist said no more radiation or chemo because they would rather me have a good quality of life which I’m trying to deal with. I am on steroids to minimize the inflamation of the tumors. I pray to god everyday for letting me have another beautiful day with my family and my friends. Sending prayers your way. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks Gwenne I’m also on steroids at the moment they certainly help me to keep a positive outlook and take each day as it comes. Good luck and keep strong.

Thank you Sydney. I have Ativan too and that helps if I get down. ❤️
