PDT for abnormal cells on the bronchi - any one had this treatment.

Also my arthritis is dreadful in the lower back and both hips following my chemotherapy last year - any suggestions to help me sleep at night?

Dear Cmtd

Welcome to the forum where we know you will receive encouragement and support.

PDT (Photodynamic Therapy) uses a light sensitive drug and a laser or light source to destroy cancer cells. There is some useful information on this from Macmillan support website:

macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf...

If you have not had your pain assessed recently and it is keeping you awake at night, we would advise you to speak to your GP or specialist to have this reassessed.

Not sleeping at night can have a marked impact on your quality of life, getting to the cause of this can help direct the best treatment option for you. Please do speak to someone about this if it is your arthritic pain that has increased and it is also something you could ask your pharmacist about.

Cancer Research UK have some information on not sleeping that you may find of use:

If you wish to discuss anything you can either email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200

Kind regards
