Dear Surj12

Welcome to the forum, and sorry to hear about your Aunt's diagnosis, we hope she is keeping safe and reasonably well during the Covid-19 outbreak.

The symptoms to be aware of for Coronavirus are; high temperature where you feel hot to touch in the chest and back area, a new and continuous cough,;the NHS guidelines on symptoms and what to do can be found here:

nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

Your Aunt may have a cough from her lung cancer, but having a high temperature is not a typical symptom of lung cancer, unless they have developed e.g a chest infection or reaction to any treatment.

This link on symptoms is from GOV UK:

gov.uk/government/publicati...

On the NHS website you can do an online check with any symptoms that your Aunt has, which can be found here:

111.nhs.uk/covid-19/

If you or your Aunt require shielding guidelines during the Covid-19 outbreak, these can be found here:

gov.uk/government/publicati...

If you wish to discuss anything you can call us on our freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 or you can email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org

We are offering a new service called 'Keep in Touch' where one of our dedicated team will provide a courtesy call or email for those especially in isolation, if your Aunt is interested and you have her permission, details of this can be found from this link:
