I have been prescribed this targeted therapy however as it was only approved in August 2019 am the only person on it as far as I know.

While I am not on this therapy I’ve made it a point to learn all I can in the 9+ years since my stage 4 diagnosis. I’ve been educating myself against the time that I experience progression.
One important thing I’ve learned is that they don’t go backwards on treatment. You’ve been given this drug because it was proved in clinical trials to extend life with better quality than the generation of treatments that preceded it.
Another thing I’ve learned is that your National Health System is a bit more conservative about approving treatments than the system here in the US. Therefore, it takes more time and data than the Fast Track system of approval here.
Sending hope that this medication works well for you and I hope you connect with others who are on it. Since it is a relatively new drug you should report anything that might be a side effect.
