As I previously reported in earlier posts I was an am a pneumonectomy survivor, having required surgery due to lung cancer (left lung) During the latter part of May 2019, following abdominal area discomfort I was sent for tests and a long short have now been diagnosed with secondary lung cancer affecting the stomach, adrenal gland, remaining lung, cavity area and remaining lung with cancer.
It seems I have not cheated the ferry man after all. Still I have enjoyed another year of life. I could with someone sharing with what to expect. I’m at peace with myself but would like any info on what the course ahead holds. I have little to no appetite and have lost 3stone since diagnosis.

so sorry to hear that Colin57, cancer is such a sneaky snidey disease, I hope you keep your spirits up and keep believing 100%, when I was diagnosed with terminal cancer looking where I'd been rather than what might come and where I might go certainly helped me, I'm 53 married with kids and grandchildren, it seemed greedy to expect any more and that certainly gave me a lot of peace in my mind, my cancer is dormant now, never stop believing Colin, keep active and I'm looking forward to hearing some positive updates from you, take care and never give up, Dave 😊👍❤
Don't give up so easily. There's still hope. Please go to this website "mycancerstory.rocks" which tells a story of Joe Tippens who had small lung cancer stage 4 spread all over his body including his liver, panceas, stomach, bladder and bones. Given only 3 months to live. Through a friend, he tried this cheap alternative treatment of fenbendazole which cured him of his cancer within 3 months. Please read this blog right to the end.
So sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis and it is a gift to be at peace with yourself despite this news. Is there any treatment being planned for you? For some people who may be eligible, Immunotherapy/targeted therapies may be an option, even with spread.

You may wish to ask your GP to refer you to the palliative care team if this has not been done. The palliative care team are for any life limiting illness and not just for end of life as a lot of people think. It is good to involve them early as a support in a variety of areas, who help manage any worsening symptoms and can advise on any support or aids you may need at home.

Sorry to read this Colin but as others have said, it's not over until it's over. In the last few years there have been many breakthroughs and more understanding of how cancer works/spreads throughout the body and treatments can be given to relieve pain and improve other symptoms even if not curable. I'm pleased you're at peace and hope your supportive and palliative care team can support you in this time. Have you lost your appetite since the diagnosis or was this one of the symptoms that led you to seek help? You need to eat/drink to maintain strength/energy - both of which reduce significantly when eating less especially in this warmer weather. hope you can manage to get some help soon. x
I mentioned the same thing in my reply. I truly believe that medical marijuana edibles have slowed down my cancer and have made it possible for me to enjoy life with lung cancer. For the last 2 years Ive had no treatment except for the cannabis and CBD oils so maybe it does really work...the only way to know is to try it. It certainly cant hurt
Even my oncologist thinks its likely helping and has said even if its working as a placebo and i just THINK its helping me....well then, so be it cause I feel pretty good and thats what matters right? I use very little....i eat a piece about the size of a peanut m&m every day around 3pm....thats it. I dont get "high" really...just relaxed and happy. It helps me to sleep at night because Im relaxed and pain free. Its pretty expensive in NJ at the dispensary ($500 an ounce) so I utilize the old fashioned way of getting it for $150/ounce lol. I have someone I trust who knows my medical situation and is actually pretty darn knowledgeable about different strains and what theyre good for. I buy 2-3 ounces at a time and make the butter and then the baked goods from the butter. That amount lasts me months...up to 6 months...I just keep them in the freezer.
Im not trying to push pot on anyone lol....I just wanted everyone to know how much its helped my situation with cancer and maybe help find relief for others who need it. If one cant tolerate the edibles then most oncologists (at least in the US) can write a script for medical marijuana capsules. I havent tried them but i know someone who has and their insurance even covered it during chemo....something to think about.
Have read loads things really on Cancer I can’t really understand how can spread if cells have been trashed AND as allways fascinated me NOT in sick way more researching

According to science acts as cell excelerent when you binge after suger fast and body burns all toxins from body

Im very sorry to hear of your current recurrence but please do not throw the towel in just yet. There are many new drugs out there that may be able to help you. In the meantime, to combat the lack of appetite...consider marijuana. It does wonders for appetite stimulation and also to combat any side effects of any treatment you may decide to do. I am not a big supporter of recreational cannabis because there are already too many people who drink and drive so we dont need them high and driving....but for medical purposes, it has changed my life for the better. I no longer need to take any pain medications (I was on a whole host of them due to some knee and hip surgeries that occurred just before my LC diagnosis) I didnt have one second of nausea during treatment thanks to my pot brownies, and I feel as if its actually helped keep my cancer at bay. Its great for inflammation as well...Just something for you to consider when moving forward with your treatment choices. There is never really a clear answer as to what to expect going forward. I hope that you find something that works for you and that youre happy with your doctors and their plan going forward. LC is not easy to live with, but that doesnt mean we cant
