Dear dogsbody321

There should be no heavy lifting for at least 3 months, and everyone is different in what they are able to do.

It could be a pulled muscle you have, and it would be best to have this checked out by your GP today.

General guidelines would be if you have any acute symptoms with this pain i.e. sudden shortness of breath, chest pain , cough or if you feel acutely unwell do go to Hospital.

You may wish to call 111 (NHS24) if you are worried and they can triage your symptoms over the phone.

It is good you have no follow up treatment from your surgery and hope you continue to feel well soon.

If you wish to discuss anything you can call our Freephone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200.

Kind regards
