Hi All,
Today my husband had his first infusion of Tecentriq. I wondered if anyone on the site was on this drug and how they are doing?

Hi Alice. Yes, my mum is now on atezolizumab and has just had her second infusion. It's very early days but I would say she is doing well, certainly better than she did on carboplatin/vinorelbine which she didn't tolerate very well at all. She is 84. There are still side effects for her though and these have been mainly tiredness and what I can only describe as "funny turns" where she feels faint and dizzy but after she has had a rest this passes and she feels fine again. She has noticed a couple of extra pains that she didn't have before but again these go away after a rest. The oncologist wasn't concerned about the pains, having re-looked at her scans, and didn't seem to think it was connected. I've seen that some people do get joint pains with this though. Mum is up and about every day though and doing her "thing" so I'm hoping that it continues like this throughout the treatment. She is being treated at the Royal Marsden in Sutton and they are wonderful. Good luck, Sandra x
