She has just started her chemo treatment she's having gem carbo more for palliative care

So far fingers crossed apart from day 4 she's been really well not sick but does get crippling indigestion spasms

Hi Suebam,

I am sorry to hear your mum is experiencing indigestion spasms which can be very painful. Indigestion is a common complaint experienced during chemotherapy.

I have attached a link which makes some recommendations for chemotherapy induced indigestion. See your GP if the dietary recommendations don't improve it.He /she may be able to offer some medications which may help.

Hello Sue, It can be a worrying time for relatives as well as patients when awaiting test results or undergoing treatments. Have a look at the information on the Roy Castle website about treatment as it does describe some of the experiences of being on various treatments including chemotherapy. roycastle.org/how-we-help/l...

Does she have a cancer nurse specialist who you could chat with about your mum? They can be very helpful. Good luck.
