I was recently interviewed by Eoin Gamble, a PhD student researcher in Ireland who wants to contact people who have taken part in remote/decentralised studies for any conditions. Having taken part personally in 2 remote monitoring physical activity studies for lung cancer, I took part in his survey which was painless and took under an hour - but much of that was suggesting groups to contact! I thought others may have taken part in similar studies may be able to help his work to help patients.
below is a brief outline regards the research aims etc. Eoin is happy to answer any questions you may have. 118225493@umail.ucc.ie
"My research is an independent academic research focused on improving the technology experience for patients involved in remote clinical trials. To improve patient experiences it is crucial to understand the patient experience when interacting with technology throughout the process. My research aims to bridge this gap by gathering insights from those who have taken part in these trials. I’m seeking to connect with patients who may have taken part in a remote trial for a short interview. the research will be published in a high-impact journal ensuring the patient’s voice is heard and given the visibility it deserves.
The research is ethically approved by my university - University College Cork, Ireland and part of my PhD is the space of Behavioural Science and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). All data will be handled following ethical guidelines and institutional policies to ensure confidentiality and compliance with university regulations. It is a voluntary study
Any help will be greatly appreciated and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Below is the email and link to the screening questionnaire. Thank you for your support in advancing patient-centred care.
