Following my scan 3 weeks ago. My appointment with lung nurse yesterday, has set me on the road to further investigation. I have been clear for a full year. My operation was 3rd May 2017. On Sunday night I had a strange feeling that something was not right.

I had been having pain mid chest whilst eating and swallowing certain foods. I thought maybe it was a hiatus hernia, which I had years ago. However the scan has shown 2 growths mid chest which were not there previously. Small at 1.3mm! I have sarcoidosis in some of my lymph nodes, so I feel it will be that! However I will be going for a Pet scan, if that shows anything then I will have to have a biopsy. Since my cancer was unseen on any scans despite all the scans, it would not show, due to it’s rarity. If it was the usual form of cancer it would show up.

I am not going to worry, as I have lived with sarcoidosis for decades and I am considered to be fit enough although I have to be covered in 50 plus sun cream, hat and long sleeves. Sun glasses etc. I recently enjoyed a holiday in USA and was out and seeing the sights.

Love and peace to you all on this forum
