My husband was told that he can't have radiotherapy and when we asked about cyberknife they said the same thing. His tumours are in two places (one lung and lymph node)
Has anyone had cyberknife targeted radiotherapy for stage 3 lung cancer where tumour is found in one of the lungs and the lymph nodes?
Please please help me.
Many thanks

I have found some information on cyber-knife radiotherapy, I have added the links below, it is a patient information sheet and I am sure it will be of interest to you. If there are any others on this forum who have had this or similar treatment I am sure they will share their experience with you.
Hi the reason why your husband cannot have cyberknife is because when breath the lungs rise and fall... if tumours were in a smaller location where organ does not move so rapidly it would have been possible...
However my husband had cybernife to his 4 tumours to his head in January this year, by mid February he got a tumour in his shoulder bone...
They said his cancer is aggressive...
Well it would be if treatment has not worked and then you are using trial and error...
if you play with cancer and don't get the treatment right... it will respond in a nasty way...
My husband was diagnosed last year March 2016, stage 3a nsclc lung cancer.
Had chemo 6 rounds, not worked, had chaart radiotherapy to chest sept 2016, by October he developed a abdominal tumour, more radio.
Then started pembrozilumab ( immunotherapy)
Did not work by January 2017 developed brain mets, had cybernife.. by Feb 2017 shoulder met...
Just completed 5 rounds of pembrozilumab... not worked.. now complaining of right hip and thigh pain... hospital said we can do MRI of hip... what for?? To be told he has a met in his thigh??
I know that's what it is...
So now I said we will trial alternative route.. now he is having intravenous B17 treatment.
Followed by 3 month cause of oral B17 treatment.
Because of his abdominal wall tumour he developed in October 2016...
I am
Now looking into electro chemotherapy... it's only available in certain hospitals...
Thank you for your kind reply and I'm really sorry to hear about your struggles.
My husband had chemo too but didn't shrink the tumours so they stopped it after 3rd round because they said that the side effects are outweighing the benefits. He is due for a scan next week and it's scaring us. They told us he can't have radiotherapy either. So he is with no treatment at all at the moment!! He feels abandoned and there isn't much I can do to help. I've moved from crying every day to denial and now anger and helplessness.
Remember that you are not alone in this struggle.
I keep telling myself that I have to be strong for my husband but I'm failing miserably. We have to keep trying for their sake.
