Hi

My mum had a pet scan over 2 weeks ago for possible lung cancer and hasn't heard anything from the hospital since. she doesn't even have an appointment with a consultant to discuss the results! I am just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what the "average" waiting time for this type of thing is? The waiting and wondering is very difficult...

Thanks in advance x

Hi I'm surprised your mum hasen't been told your results but maybe the Christmas post got in the way. I would get her to contact her GP when they are open after the Christmas holidays as they should have been informed.

It is very worrying waiting for result letters and appointments but stay strong and keep us how she gets on. We are all friendly on here and have been there.

Best wishes

Hoggy
