Hi Sally

Welcome on here everyone is friendly and can give you support and info.

I had the left lobe of my lung removed and after a few weeks later started chemo as a preventative. I was 53 then and I'm now 58 and swimming 10 lengths again every week.

I also had a brain tumour but here i am still enjoying life and have made good friends on here to ask for into. or just yo have a moan.

if you need to ask me anything drop me a line.

Regards

Hoggy

thank you for this positive reply! am still feeling quite shocked by all of this and just hope I can handle the cispratin at Sheffield . I love swimming and miss it at the moment. it is good to have someone to chat too as I find the consultants a bit harsh!!!

love Sally x

Hi Sally. I'm JackieKnowles and I'm 46. I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the r lung in May this year. I went on a clinical trial (able trial) run in Leeds for 4 weeks but sadly the drug company have stopped funding trials so it has stopped. I then had surgery on 6/7/16 to remove my right lower lobe and am now on cycle 2 of chemo. I'm a stage 2a/b. it's such a shock but it's amazing how it becomes the norm for you very quickly. Get all the support and info that you can. It really helps. This forum is lovely as well x

I wish you all the best.
