My Dad has advanced Mesothelioma. He has had pleurodesis (Sp?) and other ops and chemo etcc, but essentially it won't be very long...However, Mum and Dad want to make the best of it and hey have finally got the drugs which stop him feeling sick. But now, he is so thin and the lump on his side is maing it impossible for him to get in Mum's car. It is TOO painful. Does anyone know of any really comfortanle cars in this situation? Mum is looking at a citroen C4, as Dad found that better, but are there any others?

Hi there,

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad.

Your parents are right to make the best of the time he has left and it's important that he is comfortable and pain free.

Have you spoken to the palliative care team at the hospital, as they should be able to get your Dad's pain under control?

In regards to the car, it's maybe worth contacting Motobility, who are the specialists in disability vehicles.

They might be able to make adaptations to your mum's car, or even help with a more suitable one.

Also Mesothelioma UK are fantastic if you are looking for support.

Best wishes,
