My wife had a lobectomy 30 months ago and the cancer returned with spots in her pelvis and rib 8 months ago and she has been on Gefetinib since. A couple of weeks ago she developed a DVT which they said was not attached and her ultra sound showed raised lymph nodes in the groin and now she has a lump the size of a golf ball under her chin (Right side) which is hard and tender, does this mean the cancer is spreading further and where too. She is having a CT & Ultra sound guided biopsy in 3 weeks but we are worried and fear the worst but want to know the worse case scenario.
Many thanks in advance Don

I am sorry to hear about your wife and I don't know enough about her treatment and diagnosis to offer much help except to wish her well. Perhaps some other members can give you more advice.

Hi DonnyB,
The best people to speak to are the health professionals involved in your wife's care. Of course they can't provide a definitive answer without the biopsy results, however they are best placed to advise you both. The priority is that your wife is getting the support that she needs, and any discomfort is being managed. If you require any further help, please call our helpline 0300 323 7200 or email us at info@roycastle.org
