Had similar pain before I was diagnosed too. Wondering is it something else. Didn't need chemo etc as all the tumor was removed.

Hi there, I still get a regular dull ache in my right side and also some stabbing pains 2 years on from my lobectomy. I didn't have these pains before my diagnosis and my surgeon told me I could have them for some time if not always. If the pain is bad I take Ibuprofen and paracetomol, but you should check this with your GP. As long as your regular Xrays and/or scans are clear you should be ok.

Good luck Rab

I had surgery in 2010 and still get pain/ discomfort in my right side at site of incision. Have been told that it is a result of incision, nerve damage etc. occasionally it also feels that a rib is popping out! I think it is quite a common "after effect" of surgery. Maybe talk to your GP or CNS.

Hope it improves.
