Hi I had new scan November showing no signs of cancer I'm going on 3 and 1/2 years which is awesome the doctor wants me to take my gallbladder and my appendix out not really thrilled about having any more surgeries has anyone ever had someone tell you that there's something by my appendix that's unidentifiable foreign metallic shiny objectso now they want to take my appendix out to see what this foreign object is next to it and I don't even have no pain there so should I just do it because they told me the gallbladder probably does have to come out because I have gallstones and pain there I was just glad to hear that the cancer is nowhere to be found the three and a half years later and I was 3A pancoast tumor

Great news about your 3.5 years - hope you're celebrating. I'm still amazed that it will be 9 years in January since my diagnosis. Sorry unable to help about your gall bladder but I'd always recommend asking questions of your clinical team to explain in terms that are understandable (i.e. not medical terms) why they're suggesting invasive treatments. good luck.

Thank you. I had half my left lung removed and no other treatments although plenty of subsequent investigations. your dad's story should also give plenty of hope to others on here. hope you get some answers soon to whatever the object is they can see.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone. Janette has given you good advice. Call and ask them what type of complications could happen because of that metallic thing.

They will be doing this surgery with very small incisions so recovery will be much easier. Sending hope that the surgery goes smoothly.
