My doctor says I might get radiation for 5 days to kill the 2.8 cm node the rest of the report says I’m clear except a node and the radiologist says it’s malignant it’s in my tissue not lymph nodes or any of my organs does that small node have to be treated with chemo?? I hate chemo 🤮🤮🤮🤮
I had a follow up CT scan of the chest... - Lung Cancer Support
I had a follow up CT scan of the chest and I got these results
The waiting is awful. Like you, I’m in the limbo between a CTscan finding growth in one area and deciding options and a plan. Hang in there
Hi I know your worried is this your first cancer. I had a really small tumor. I thought this is. was ok. They just had to remove it. No treatments I went to surgery thinking they were going on too remove it and everything would be fine. When I woke up I found out that they had taken out my upper left lung and removed some lympnodes. Come to find out I had adnoecarsinoma it had gotten in a few of my lympnodes.. I was told it was stage 3. Asked oncologist if it was so small why it got in my nodes he said because it was slow growing but aggressive. I didn't do radiation felt too weak. Done chemo for six months am now a 7 year survivor. So try not to worry have hope and faith and don't give up,keep fighting. You'll make it I have confidence in you my Dr and I were shocked it was a miracle. Let me k ow how things are going you need to know anything there's alot of us here to help. Love susiejo1948
Thanks for replying, I was diagnosed 3a removed upper and middle lobe 2017 and involves lymph nodes the 6 mo later crept to my brain and removed 3 cm tumor then every 90 days I was was clear except for a few small Mets and they zapped my head and I also had cancer return last summer and I had chemo 3 rounds taxol to remove then 90 days and I was NED!!! Then had a mri and brain negative but did the vet and got that report I have a 2.8 cm module in my soft tissue so my dr said possibly just 5 days of radiation and I’m hoping no chemo ugghh I hate that
Take each step as they come. I'm sure they are working on a treatment plan. If you're not happy, I'd consider a second opinion. And before I'd do chemo, I'd ask about Immunotherapy as an option, if you fit the criteria.
Best wishes...
I agree with ThePurplePlace. One day at a time, one step at a time, and if at any time you are not happy with your treatment plan, don't hesitate to seek out a second opinion.
Since it’s a 2.8 cm in the soft tissue where my lung use to be before the lobectomy and no organs involved or lymph nodes either so doesn’t this sound like radiation instead of chemo?
