We've been thinking that my Dads side effects after each infusion were just getting kinda crappy since they were building on each other. He's in icu on a vent and the doctor is saying that it's likely the keytruda. Upon the transfer from a rural hospital to a metroplex hospital he got very close to death. He has turned the corner and the plan is to remove the vent tomorrow or the next day. He had a bunch of infusions with zero side effects. It was almost too good to be true but he was happy. Then upon the stopping of some drugs and maintenance of keytruda and a final Alimta I guess his good fortune caught up.
It is so scary seeing him on a vent. I'm pretty scared at the fear he will have when they stop sedation and make him breathe for 2 hours on the trial.
The doc here is going to recommend no more keytruda and no more radiation (assuming anymore was even a thought). He did a trial. I don't know what will be next.
Please send your positive thoughts to Tom in Texas if you would. Thank you, Pam

By now he was off the vent for a couple hours. How did it go? Did he tolerate this okay? From what I’ve read if others experience he’ll probably have regular chemo. There are a couple different combos.
When you say different combo cocktails, what do you think about Taxol, I’m on round 2 out of 4 are complete, I’m Day 8 and feeling better now but 2 more awful rounds throwing up and I go to radiation tomorrow treatment to zap 3.0 and 4.0 mm met
Pverde9901 I hope your father feels much better and it’s hard but please feel free to reach out to the beautiful people for such great support, we got you and dad will feel better
