My precious Husband

I just wanted to let everyone know my husband has left this earth for his home in Heaven. It was unexpected. Yes we knew he had cancer but a week ago today he didn't lose the battle to the terrible disease of cancer he had a massive heart attack that took him while I was in Bible study. I had not been gone from my home 30 minutes and received a call from my son in law that I needed to come home because David called him and said "I need help", when he arrived my sweet husband was gone. Myself and family could use some prayers we are struggling to understand how he fought this cancer and then he died the way he did. Thank you for all the prayers you can send.

Janice, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. It's a tough time of the year for this to happen for you and your family. All you can do is be there for each other.

I've heard of other people in treatment for cancer having major heart attacks. We have to take powerful drugs, and some of them can affect the heart. I think there is also a tendency to let sleeping dogs lie and not add heart drugs to all the cancer meds if the patient doesn't seem to have a dire condition - too many potential problems with drug interactions etc. The principle of "do no harm" is always on the back of your doctors' minds. Denzie has good counsel.

Praying that you and your family come to understand why God needed your husband. Life doesn't always make sense to us, but there is a reason for everything. Please know that there are a lot of grief groups out there that can help you and your family get through this. It is not going to be easy, but you CAN and WILL get through it.
