Janice, I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. It's a tough time of the year for this to happen for you and your family. All you can do is be there for each other.

I've heard of other people in treatment for cancer having major heart attacks. We have to take powerful drugs, and some of them can affect the heart. I think there is also a tendency to let sleeping dogs lie and not add heart drugs to all the cancer meds if the patient doesn't seem to have a dire condition - too many potential problems with drug interactions etc. The principle of "do no harm" is always on the back of your doctors' minds. Denzie has good counsel.

Praying that you and your family come to understand why God needed your husband. Life doesn't always make sense to us, but there is a reason for everything. Please know that there are a lot of grief groups out there that can help you and your family get through this. It is not going to be easy, but you CAN and WILL get through it.
