CBD OIL
CBD oil is often used as a complimentary treatment in many cancers. For many it does a wonderful job maintaining an appetite and conquering the nausea that may occur during treatment with chemotherapy. Like any treatment, it may not work for all.
What CBD oils can’t do is destroy the cancer. When this question comes up I like to quote one of my favorite bloggers and advocates who also contributes here from time to time. J Poehlman explained it best that CBD oils have been demonstrated to kill cancer in Petri dishes, so has alcohol but most people would not try to kill their cancers by getting drunk.
Contrary to popular belief, and to the sales tactic of some who would sell you CBDs to kill cancers, there have been many trials and studies to find anti-cancer properties of marijuana. None of them has established marijuana as an effective anti cancer treatment.
Have they finished staging your mom’s cancer? What type does she have? If it’s adenocarcinoma, have they finished genetic testing to establish possibility of a targeted therapy? If, adeno or squamous cell have they gotten the results of the PDL1 testing?
Please let us know what you learn about her cancer. There are other complimentary things we can recommend depending on what treatment she will be on.
Sending hope that your mom responds well to treatment and is with you a long, long time.
I am fairly new to all this on the site and do not understand all the different acronyms referred to ! But I was interested to see recommendations for CBD oil to help with breathlessness energy sleeping etc so thought I would try it......now it might be psychosomatic but has definitely helped me! The only thing I’m worried about is am I buying an oil which is tested etc., so my question is where is the best place to buy this oil (UK)? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry. I know nothing about accessing it in the UK. You might look into the Roy Castle Foundation there. They have a website roycastle.org. Perhaps they can give you some direction.
Many thanks will look at the website and see what help is there.
They have a webpage here on healthiunlocked here’s a link:
Good morning. Even if your country has not tested cbd oil for human consumption...be rest assured that it’s been tested repeatedly here in the U. S and it’s totally safe to consume. I’ve been using cbd oil in conjunction with medical marijuana edibles for 2+ years now and although it’s probably done nothing to help my actual cancer, it’s done wonders for my post treatment side effects both short term and long term. Without it I’m not sure if the inflammation I suffer from due to radiation fibrosis would allow me to get out of bed. Even if something turns out to be working under the “placebo effect” (basically the results are all in your head with the placebo effect) who cares?? If it works for you then it works for you. If someone says “it’s all in your head” well, that’s what keeps most of us down. Things being in our heads. Assuming we won’t feel better so why try anything new...
Give it a try. Cbd oil can be purchased online here and likely in the UK so give it a try. There’s no thc in it so you won’t get high. Make sure you follow the dosing instructions for maximum benefit. I use 10 drops under my tongue twice a day and frankly it works better than any prescription anti inflammatory I’ve ever tried. Be well!
P.S if you can find it locally you should expect to pay around $40 a bottle usd. If you order online from say Hempworx...it’s much more costly. Like $90 usd. My medical marijuana doctor now sells it for $35 usd and it’s the same quality as the online stores. I use 650mgs but it comes in all different strengths. I’d start there and see how it goes. It took a few weeks for me to feel the difference and now I cold vape the oil as well to get it in close proximity to my lungs without having to smoke it. Good luck!
