Update on DAD - NSCLC

Hello all,

An update on DAD (our Uncle Pop). Looks like he's going to have the liver radio-embolization after all.

Seems the tumors that have spread to his liver have gotten larger these past few weeks. He was on chemotherapy (taxotere). This is his 3rd line of treatments. Was working at first, everything was shrinking, including the liver tumors, but now they have just gotten a little larger. We have stopped his chemo, for now, cause it is just taxing on his body; no energy, no appetite, etc.

Radio-embolization involves having little tiny beads inserted in the liver, and they will deliver radiation directly to the tumors, then they are zapped out, if i remember correctly.

Has anyone had this procedure done? Seems the original tumor in lung is stabilized. Don't know what we are going to do after this procedure. Think at this point is to just isolate the original tumor, and keep it from spreading.

Any other Ideas folks? I appreciate all your help

Pray for my father, a good-descent self-made man.

Not ready to let go.

JR.
