Tomorrow ( Dec 13) is the day my dad has his ct scans to see how his body responded to his last treatment of chemo ( back on Nov 18th). We will also find out what the results are tomorrow too. I am trying very hard to be positive and optimistic for him and assuring him with whatever news we have there is always options. ( even though I'm very scared and nervous)
One positive thing is that my dads voice came back! It's been raspy and hoarse for about 5 months ( A thoracic surgeon said his vocal cord was paralyzed from coughing so many years, and would most likely need a minor surgery to put it back in place) BUT- it came back on its own!
I just pray that his cancer hasn't spread at all and that we have positive news. Please pray for my dad ( George) for good results tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a big day for you both. Try to enjoy today, every minute is precious, and then what comes tomorrow, you will handle together. You are right - there are always options. May you find a peaceful place in your heart to settle until you hear what they have to say.
Sending hugs to you both and praying for some positive news on your dads condition. I'm also waiting for for my mum to have her CT scan to See her progress as well. It's very hard trying to stay positive some times so I'm wishing you all the best and pray for a good outcome.
It's been a while since we spoke I was wondering if you read that story on the link I sent (Robert Lowe story). It's very uplifting to hear from someone like that who has survived small cell for so many years. Your dads diagnosis is very similar to mine, and not surprisingly sounds like treatment as well. My prognosis has improved somewhat as I have moved along the tests I guess I have been blessed, I went from no cure to now we are going for the cure which it's not a great chance but it is a chance. I assume you all are going for the cure as well with the addition of radiation? Anyway my thoughts and prayers are with you all today as you get your news.
Yes! I did read his story. Very inspiring. I thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We are all anxious today and hoping for good news. I will post on here with an update when the day is done. 🙏
I am a strong believer in prayer. God is able to do ALL things and healing is not hard for Him. I pray your Dad gets excellent news and that God will continue to strengthen him. Merry Christmas!!!
HinLesley, I know trying to be positive can be exhausting. But whichever way it goes with the scans just be there for your Dad , which you are, you will do this together! On a good note, happy his voice came back!
I'll be thinking of you and your Dad,prayers coming your way also.
