Had primary lymphoedema diagnosed last year (scan showed 0/10 drainage vessels in lower left leg and only 1 in right.). Before being diagnosed with this complaint, I had been to see my doctor initially because although I've always been fairly active walking / golfing / badminton etc I was finding all of these activities more difficult ie; not being able to run, legs stiffening up and aching badly particularly after exercise. The compression stockings I now wear pretty much control the swelling but haven't done much to improve the mobility in my legs. Is there anyone out there whose lymphoedema has followed a similar course and if so can you offer me any tips or guidance?

Have to say swimming is the only activity that doesn't pain me, bikes and row machines kill my knees. My mobility is hampered with the Compression stockings also but i won't complain as i now have my life back, unlike a few years ago when my limbs weighed so much more and it felt like i was lifting water drums around each time i lifted a leg.
If you get a chance at using a Hydro pool please try it, OMG the relief in your limbs is amazing. Good luck
