Hi, I have secondary lymphedema in both lower legs which I've had since 2006.I've also a ruptured miniscus and arthritis in the left leg for several years. This week I've had a sudden pain in the right knee very similar to the pain in the left leg. It was hard enough to walk around with one bad leg but this sudden knee pain has made me feel so much worse. It's really cut down my mobility and I have tried everything I can to get some relief. I haven't had an injury to the knee for a lot of years, it's not swollen or hot and there's no visible skin breaks or rashes. Initially it was even tender to touch but that lasted a few days and the tenderness is less now. The left leg seems more painful as well. I googled the symptoms but stopped as the "C" word kept cropping up and I thought I don't want to depress myself in the process!
Anyone else had this mystery pain?

You could try checking with your GP as it could be bursitis. I had it a good long time ago in my right knee and it's very painful until it's treated. I still have the sports knee support bandage that I wore at the time!
Hi lovesradio, I considered going to the GP but our practice is still making it really hard to get an appointment. You can ring up dead on 8.30 when they open and they just say "sorry, all the appointments have gone today, ring again tomorrow". And so on and on. I even asked if the receptionist was the fastest fingers in the world as I didn't believe it was possible to make 17 appointments in one minute! But I guess I don't have any other choice. It's driving me mad and I'll take any relief I can get! Thanks for the info about bursitis, I've not heard of it.
