Can anyone recommend an electric shaver?

Having used my husband’s hair clippers on my lymphoedema leg for the last 3yrs I decided to treat myself to an electric razor! Just about to click “buy” when I glanced at a one star review from someone with lymphoedema who had damaged her skin and had to see the nurse. So thought I’d ask this lovely community if they had any products that they found suitable. I was going to buy the Remington cordless. Was she just pressing too hard! 🤭

Hi

I’d recommend Ladies Butterfly skull shaver, I’m 66 and have been using it for over six years on a lymphoedema leg. Never cut skin, feels very safe use in or out of water, pricey but excellent. Use Uk website to purchase….if these are good enough for the skull then they’re good enough for my leg. Blade lasts a while, easy to clean. Have fun!

over the years Ive bought many of the jml range, one for eyebrows, another for chin, another for under arm and one for legs. all have never cut or scrapped the skin.

i have noticed as the years pass by, im less hairy, which is not a bad thing 😄 (69 now)

I’m the same! lol! However I get my legs waxed- not painful and no danger of any cuts.

i used to get waxed but the last few years saw my skin become red with a rash and quite sore for several days so now its the shaving 😂 waxing for years may have helped with not having much hair now 😉

Dry razors are a bad idea. You should only ever use a wet shaver and preferably a disposable shaver gently, to avoid cuts and pimples losing their heads. A wet shaver is better than a dry one for that reason to avoid infection.
