A long shot, but I was wondering whether anyone had a Haddenham pump that they bought and don't use and would like to sell me. I trialled one a little while ago and found it really beneficial but can't really justify the cost (I bought a Physiopod machine just over a year ago, which is useful, but not as good as the pump for me). Thanks in advance!

Haddenham Lymphflow Advance
I don't have a Haddenham pump but I do have a compression therapy pump (4 tiered) which I bought from Sissel a few years ago - called Power -Q1000, which I don't use (I have long legs and the pump leg covers too short for me). You are welcome to try - I'm in north west Kent.
I also have a Sun Ancon Chi Machine, which I don't use.
Thanks ever so much, PenelopeUK. That's very kind. My lymphoedema nurse has advised me not to try anything that's not one of the main brands (the Haddenham, and the Huntleigh one I think). I'm sure it would be fine but I'm very cautious! Thank you again for your offer, though 🙂
hi sleeviejeebies, have you managed to get hold of the Haddenham lymph flow pump? I am hoping to trial it and just wanted to hear from you about your experience
it’s good to know that you had a good result. Thank you.
I would definitely suggest you stay clear of the cheaper compression pumps often found on Amazon as they could possibly cause more harm than good. In most cases they don’t have overlapping chambers which means there are gaps in compression and they also have fewer chambers than the professional machines.
The Lympha Press range is brilliant and it’s worth asking for a trial from compression therapy uk.
I’m surprised you don’t think your oscillation equipment is not as effective as it’s my go to equipment for managing my Lymphoedema.
Thanks Mushy1. Yes, that's what I was worried about. I guess we're all different - I'm wondering whether the reason the pump is so effective for me is that there's a lot of fluid in my arm (that unfortunately just keeps filling back up again); I wonder whether the oscillation equipment is better for breaking stuff up, like fibrosis and more solid lymph (my non-technical/inexpert interpretation, which is just an observation and not fact!), and sometimes I actually get increased swelling after using it...
Do you follow an MLD process before using your oscillation machine?
To be effective you need to clear existing nodes so the lymph fluid you move has somewhere to go, otherwise you will experience rebound.
You should ideally start with some deep breathing exercises and then follow that with light massage of the neck and axillary nodes.
