I now have to wear a size 18 because of my fat leg -as I refer to it - But I now have the view I've suvived cancer so every day is a bonus day and if you don't go out and do things and have fun life will pass by and pass quickly - go out have fun - I've realised no one looks at my fat leg...only me....

Oh Liz please do go to the dinner. Chrispie is right - no-one will notice your leg only you. It will do you good xx

Morning Liz, just get a long top to go with ya trousers, at the end of the day you can't stop doing things cos you have lymphoedema don't let this thing rule your life you only have one so live it and enjoy it x

Hi,

It can be difficult to get trousers but I have found extra wide palazzo trousers are great...I too am a size 12 but these trousers are great...you can get just plain but also some great patterned ones which can be abit wild but hey why not...don't hide away, teamed with a floaty top or a smart shirt they can fit any occasion.

Enjoy your night out.

Best wishes

As said wide trousers or a long skirt. Clothing (and shoes) do get you down especially for special events. For me winter is much easier than summer. Even after many years of lymphoedema I still hate my limited choices but it has never stopped me socialising, which is really important.

Don't fret, you will soon enjoy the benefits of the beautiful full length skirts available today and wide leg trousers are so in vogue. No body would guess that the invisable legs are swollen. I would keep below the waist a plain colour and find an very pretty top to draw the eye away from the feet too. You can wear compression tights under any of these garments. Phase eight, M and S....many stores sell long fashionable garments. Enjoy yourself! Flowerdancer.

Same as the other replies as to wearing loose trousers etc.but I understand the feeling that everyone's looking at you - I was born with LE in both legs and teenage years were difficult but I'm old enough now to realise that I could be worse and if it offends anyone seeing my fat legs that it's their problem not mine.

Go to the dance and enjoy yourself- life's too short for anything else. 🤗
