Tingling sensation

Hi Everyone

I have read that you can experience a tingling sensation with Lymphedema from time to time ,however, I seem to have like a mild 'pins & needles' feeling in my lower leg, is this normal?

Hi I have had pins and needles sensation in toes for 14 months has now changed to numbness in toes . Doctor just won't make decision what it is .

As I have bowens disease . Lymphoedema . Type 2 type diebetes .

All of which can cause these things. .

I also have this feeling of water running down legs .

I feel it all points to lymphoedema as it's both legs that has this .

I have Lymphedema in both legs maybe this is just a usual symptom.

I have primary Lymphedema in both legs since 10. By 50 could not wear sandals because I couldn't move my toes. Feet went totally numb right after I fell 4 years ago. Was just diagnosed with Lympedema and after 3 weeks of therapy I could wiggle my toes again. After 4 weeks I could feel the bottoms of my feet again. I have fallen 4 times in 4 years. The back doctor said the loss of feeling was diabetes (which I was just diagnosed with.) The Endocrinologist said that was impossible--it takes 20 years to have diabetic nephropathy in your feet.

Long story short: they all just pass the buck and blame something else because they don't know what it is. For me, having therapy and using the pump reversed it. That was a month ago, my insurance won't pay for a pump (U.S.) and I already have swelling in my knees and legs to the same size they were before the therapy. I suspect it won't be long before I lose all feeling in my feet again.

So yes, all the swelling of lymphedema can cause you to lose sensation in your legs and feet.

And yes, I often have that feeling like water running down my legs. Sometimes I freak and think I'm peeing; but there is nothing there. No water at all.

Good luck in your search for something that helps with the loss of feeling. It can make you fall easier because your brain can't register where your feet are.
