Hi,
I have an assessment appointment with the London Lymphedema Clinic on Thursday. Has anyone here used them and what were your thoughts?
Thanks

Hi
I just had a quick look and notice there is only a mobile phone number.
Do you know what qualifications the clinicians have ?
Hey, see here: findatherapy.org/manual-lym...
Hi Gurdip
It’s natural to be anxious about what to expect and to be questioning whether the quality of service is a high standard. This therapist link above indicates she is Vodder trained so you should be in good hands. Looks like everyone at the clinic is Vodder trained which is a positive sign. Vodder method is extremely reputable (Dr Vodder was the Father of MLD/CDT). The therapist in the link has training in CDT and fitting compression garments which is what you need from a therapist assessing you and advising on treatment and compression
I see my consultant in two weeks so all my general questions about LE he will answer and help put my mind at rest. Looks like I have found suitable care, just need to make it all happen now.
Depending on what type of consultant you’re seeing he/she may or may not be able to answer your LE questions. Most consultants refer to a local LE clinic or to St. George’s for questions to be answered as they are out of their depth. Hopefully your consultant is more enlightened about LE than most!
