Infra Red heat treatment for lymphedema

I read somewhere that infra red heat has been used to treat lymph edema. Does anyone have any info on this subject. thans

Hi, I had a course or Low Level Light Therapy a couple of years ago which was combined with MLD, yes it helped my breast lymphodema

Some larger clinics use FIR (far infrared) as a treatment for lymphoedema, in conjunction with MLD and compression. (It is not LLLT - low level laser therapy, mentioned by Jenny).

Some people find benefit, others don’t, but if you have access to it, would be worth trying.
