The LSN has been invited to take part in the first ever fully accessible charity run/walk/push on the 4th September at the London Olympic park. The day will feature 4 challenges 10k,5k,1k and 100m events which folk can walk, run, waddle anything really. there will also be a family fun day with a food festival and even a sensory area! Anyone of any age and any ability, upber fit, able bodeied, disabled, differently abled can join in which makes it a first for the UK. It is hoped that 10,000 participants will join in during the day, which is free for spectators. We are trtying to raise a team of 25 people either with lymphoedema or interested in the condition to take part - there is a registration fee of £20.00 and then we would ask participants with an LSN place to aim to raise £100 for the organisation (more if you able). More importantly it would be great to see 25 people in LSN tshirts raising awareness of this underpublicised condition. If you are interested please drop us a message to karen.friett@lymphoedema.freeserve.co.uk so our trustees can make an informed decision about whether to get involved.
