Hi guys, just back from the gym where I've been talking to the instructors about the right sort of exercises/stretches to help my breast Lymphoedema. One instructor has wondered if Anterior Deltoid Stretches/Chest Stretches would be any good for me. Once again all help and advice is gratefully received

Exercises
I wasn't shown any exercises for lymphoedema of the breast but any exercises that use the pectorals can't do damage, I think. Do you have lymphoedema in your arm as well? I haven't ask any instructor in my gym as I presume that they weren't taught about this medical problem, but I do allkind of exercises which put in motion my arms and my upper back muscles as well as the pectorals but at the lowest setting.
I have lower limb lymphoedema and I do a kettlebells regime which I think helps. I have no experience of upper body lymphoedema but like rebec who responded, just wondering if doing some light weights with your upper arms would help to squeeze your muscles. Ask your gym instructor for some good arm and chest exercises with light dumbells. Good luck!
I agree with both posts below but also would suggest you wear any compression garments you have during any exercise. I go swimming twice a week and also go to a piloxing class - a mix of pilates and boxing moves with a little zumba thrown in - so a lot of arm/pecs work and this has helped to keep my left arm ld in a manageable state.
Hi
I work with one of the gym instructors who is very helpful as I was terrified of causing more problems. I have lymphodema on right leg which is slightly different, also do kettle bells, weights, run etc. I find cycling hardest but can still do for a short period of time
Good luck
