Does anyone know of a study or link with Hidradenitis suppurativa as this has been the primary cause of my past skin infections and continuing problems I believe. I still get problems from this but not as bad as previously after treatment with roaccutane some years ago?
Link with HS?: Does anyone know of a study or link with... - LSN
Link with HS?
Lymphoedema can be a complication from hidradenitis suppurativa - where do you have the problem? Arm pits or groin? Are you seen by a consultant dermatologist?
Hi Lynora. I have the HS in both areas. And yes to the dermatologist. I was treated for the HS previously but i now have a new dermatologist who is dismissive and basically a waste of time. My le specialist is actually writing to him with her findings in relation to my condition as the ne dermatologist did not accept that i had this problem and did not want to entertain any link with anything except my heart or Kidneys. As my Kidney function is good he ruled this out and said it was possibly a problem with the heart but he was "not bothered" about this. If my GP wanted to investigate then he could. It was my GP who referred me to the lymphoedema specialist.
