My reaction to Crestor & Nubeqa combo. I need to make some adjustments. This study says simvastatin is best against APC. Your thoughts?
Of note, a previous pharmacological study showed that even high doses of
lovastatin
that are required to reach plasma bioactivity levels in this µM range are well-tolerated [25].

Research: Methane and Constipation-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-C / C-IBS): Entwining Pillars of Emerging Neurogastroenterology
Lately,
lovastatin
has emerged as a potential pharmacologic therapy to devoid the gut of methane without disrupting the gut niche in itself and has shown promise in relieving the symptoms of C-IBS.

Not All Statins Are Equal
Many people quote what dose of statin they are on but not which type. The table shows the reduction in LDL (bad cholesterol) for different statins and doses. Before you ask I am on 40mg Atorvastatin as my student liver (🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺) couldn't cope with 80mg! Fluvastatin: 20 mg/day, 21% reduction

What do I do?
Have just had a phone call from my health centre. The doctor is concerned about my cholesterol level. (10). This was the level I had when I was first tested on a whim whilst in holiday over 20 years ago. I watched my diet and got it down to 6 something but doctors said I should go on statins. Was given

GFR Fluctuating suddenly.
I am on three meds lisipronol 20 mg,
lovastatin
10 mg, and Lorezapam 1 mg. So I get blood test every 3 months. My blood pressure and Cholesterol has been low and stable for many years on the meds. I was not real selective about the Glusosimine because it was free from my Insurance Company.

Using fungi to search for medical drugs.
They have already found various known compounds, among which the cholesterol lowering drug
lovastatin
. The library of fungal products offers ample opportunity to search for new drugs.

For those on statins: adding dipyridamole might be a good idea
the drug dipyridamole can be used to block statin-induced SREBP activation and augment apoptosis in statin-insensitive PCa cells. In this study fluvastatin was used, maybe not the best option against PCA. Dipyridamole can be taken instead/with aspirin, and there is a version with aspirin in it (Aggrenox

Statins + Dipyridamole?
New cell study below [1]. Bottom-line: PCa resistance to statins can be blocked by Dipyridamole. Might be an important finding. Dipyridamole "is a medication that inhibits blood clot formation" [2]. (which in itself is useful for PCa) {[i]"Dipyridamole is used to dilate blood vessels in people with
