Eosinophilic Asthma & new here

Hi all, I'm Krazy-girl, I guess I'm just venting today. Just found out yesterday I've been suffering with severe eosinophilic asthma for quite sometime now. In 1997 it was asthma, then 2007 severe asthma & copd, then severe allergic asthma now severe eosinophilic asthma what next? I'm tired of everything I have Is there NO end? I am on 4 inhalers a day, singluar, nose spray, nebulizer treatments 4 times a day, right now I'm on a second round of 10 days prednisone, an emergency inhaler when needed, xolair shots 2 twice monthly. Now the doctor wants to add shots to target the eosinophilia cells. And this is just for my asthma! I'm really getting tired, every time I go to the doctor it's something new. There isn't much info on eosinophilic asthma on the internet that I've found. Anyone know of a good site to get some good info? Thx for listening!

Hi Krazy-girl and welcome to your Living with asthma community!

Thank you for sharing your story.

Your doctor is a great resource to discuss any of the new eosinophilic asthma treatment medications!

Make sure that your medication is helping you and follow what the doctor prescribes on your

asthma action plan (AAP). Your asthma should be controlled if you are following it. If not, then

you need to communicate with your PCP, Pulmonologist, Health Plan, etc. Check to see that

your equipment is functioning correctly. A nebulizer is no good after five years and some of

them malfunction...if your does not help, then you may need to change it. A.Campis
