For most of my life I have been a very energetic person. However it was not until my anxiety really started to kick in, when my foot started tapping uncontrollably. At first it was just a harmless little way to get out extra energy. But now its like a wave of anxious energy washes over me and my foot starts to roll and jerk in the most painful and irritating ways. Usually after this I can barley turn my foot and even walking short distances in incredibly painful. Any advice?

Hello 777sigh
Sorry no one has welcomed you but Welcome , I hope talking with others will help you to know you are not alone
When we have anxiety we can form habits , and once we have it can be hard to stop , we do believe that we are not consciously doing them but once that habit has formed we do them without realising
Have you spoken to your Doctor about it just to make sure this is nothing else going of which chances are it won't be but once you get the all clear that can not only give you peace of mind but you can start learning distraction techniques to try and help with it
Take Care x

thanks for the welcome :). I'm not sure if I should ask my doctor about it though. It is only really bad during a panic attack and lately I don't tend to be getting them as often. So I'm not sure if it'll be worth going. Of course when its bad, its really bad. But since it doesn't happen that much Im so not sure.
Sounds like it is in connection with your anxiety / panic attacks then , weird and wonderful things can happen when we are having an anxiety attack but glad it has gone now x
