Does anyone else try to feel their heartbeat during a panic attack?
try to feel heartbeat?: Does anyone else... - Living with Anxiety
try to feel heartbeat?
Heck yes! What makes my panic attack worse is when I try to feel my pulse and I don't feel my heart beating, or when I feel like my heart stops, then it takes a hard pump, that's what would scare me most because I felt like I was gonna die. But its been 9 months and I haven't died. I heard irregular heart beat or "flutter beats" are very common during a panic attack, it happens so the heart could slow down since during a panic attack it's racing like crazy.
I do the same. I know that it's just anxiety, but I'm still working on having my mind acknowledge that.
All the time!! Am always checking my pulse for a Heart beat.. And I no its not good for me but it's like it's a habit now 🙈 makes me feel a bit better but sometimes it's like my heart stops for a second and it kicks in again?
I thought it was just me! I've got an obsession with holding my hand over my chest and feeling my heart beat. Last night it was beating fast and then did a huge bump, scared me to death. I am thinking I'm going to die but I'm still here. It's horrible but I've had my blood pressure taken 4 weeks ago and it was good, but does that count the beats of the heart?
blood pressure is not the same as beats of the heart. You are thinking of pulse. There are many different sites in which you can take your pulse. That is your heart beat.
So blood pressure is only the pulse? I am guessing my pulse was normal but it feels fast to me
Definitely!
