It is called alcohol anxiety. It is a real thing you can search it. I suffer from it also.

I am a medical student who always suffers from anxiety/depression/panic. I think i can explain this to you pharmacologically:

- Alcohol intake increases the release of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid)

- GABA inhibits the CNS and calms to down, effectively ridding you of anxiety/ decreasing anxiety while you continue to take alcohol

-Once you stop taking alcohol, however, this GABA release goes back to normal, and you start to feel more and more anxious as your body tries to readjust itself to functioning without alcohol. It is effectively one of the withdrawal effects of alcohol
